Meet the team!

CodeLeap is a fully remote company with a global team of tech talent. Our leadership is based in London, while our 28-strong team — designers, developers, data scientists, project managers and QA testers — spans the globe. This post is a short introduction to who we are, how the team fits together, and what we get up to when we finally close our laptops.

A fully remote company, together once a year

Working remotely is our default, and it works: it lets us hire the best people wherever they are, rather than whoever happens to live near an office. But screens only get you so far. Each year we break away from them for a week of team building and collaboration in person. That tradition strengthens bonds, fuels new ideas, and reminds us that behind every pull request and design file there’s a person we genuinely like spending time with.

Who’s on the team

We’ve been building software since 2019, and the team behind it now covers every part of shipping a product. It’s led by our two co-founders — Victor, our CTO, and Vivian, our COO — from London. Around them sit:

• Tech leads — Kenzo, Paulo, Felipe and Takuya — who own the technical direction of the projects they run.
• Frontend and backend developers — including Rafael, Caio, Kaella and Guilherme — building the products day to day.
• Designers Amábili and Mario, who shape how everything looks and feels.
• Project managers Matt and Marcelo, keeping delivery on track and clients in the loop.
• A commercial side — Konrad in sales and Laura as our commercial analyst.
• An intern, Leonardo, learning frontend development with us — because we’d rather grow talent than just rent it.

Our 2024 retreat: Brazil

In 2024, our annual meetup took us to Brazil for a week together. We enjoyed friendly swimming competitions by day and sizzling barbecues by night, bonding over shared interests and our ambitions for the future of the company. Off the clock, this is a team of genuine tech enthusiasts — some of us build robots in our spare time; others settle things over friendly video game battles.

A couple of the people behind the work

Take Kenzo, one of our tech leads. Born to Japanese immigrants, he’s a true geek at heart — happiest tinkering with gadgets and digging into the latest tech trends — and his energy sets the tone in every brainstorming session. Away from work you’ll find him exploring new video games, perfecting his sushi-making, or picking eclectic songs at karaoke nights.

Or Vinny, who managed projects for us at the time of the retreat. Polished and disciplined on the surface, with a mischievous sense of humour underneath, he’s as likely to lead an impromptu jam session on his acoustic guitar as he is to run a status meeting — and he’s still working on the skateboarding.
