Apps built to outlast launch day

We're a London app development company shipping iOS, Android and cross-platform apps since 2019 — 50+ projects, scoped and fixed before we write a line of code.

Solutions we've built power teams at:

  • Amazon Web Services
  • Auto Trader
  • Cedars-Sinai
  • Jet2holidays
  • Jaguar Land Rover
  • Dover Street Market
  • Dexters
  • Lookers

Every step, with a team who's done it before

Plenty of apps launch, get a flurry of downloads, then quietly rot. We build for the version of your app that's still in daily use a year on — scoped and priced before we write a line of code, on iOS, Android or both.

  1. Which platform

We work out what your app actually has to do, and whether iOS, Android or both is the honest answer — cross-platform where one codebase serves both, native only where it earns its cost, as with NicheCom's hardware-driven iPad tool. Free, before you commit.

  2. Design & quote

From £5,000 we design your app screen by screen and validate it on a real device with real users, plus a fixed quote for the full build. The design files are yours to keep whatever you decide next.

  3. Build & ship

We build the app, the backend, the APIs and the integrations, then handle App Store and Google Play submission — with a progress build in your hands every couple of weeks. From £15,000, milestone-paid.

  4. Keep it live

OS updates break apps that nobody maintains, so we don't disappear at launch. Ongoing support starts from £400 a month for updates, fixes and new features — and the app is yours the moment it's paid for.

Apps in daily use

Proof beats promises: a snagging platform tracking thousands of defects across live London sites, Becon's safety app on iOS, Android and Apple Watch, and Skamper's running app with thousands of verified routes. Not every idea needs an app — when yours does, this is the bar.

  • WeSnag

A large London-based construction company managing major residential sites — dozens of contractors, thousands of defects — came to CodeLeap for a digital snagging platform. Within 6 months, we delivered a fully functioning mobile app that reduced human errors and accelerated the snagging process for construction managers.

  • Becon

A smart personal safety app that watches over everyday journeys, checks in automatically when something seems wrong, and alerts your chosen contacts if you can't respond.

  • Skamper

A running app for a UK running company — a cross-platform app that helps runners discover thousands of verified routes across Britain, race them on demand and track every run.

The tech

iOS, Android and cross-platform, named honestly — the frameworks we've shipped apps with, and the ones we work with when a project calls for them.

  • React Native

Bonsai's wealth-planning app runs on one React Native codebase — our usual answer when iOS and Android both matter on one budget.

  • Swift

We build native iOS in Swift where it earns its keep — NicheCom's surveyors' app went native precisely because it drives laser-measuring hardware.

  • Kotlin

On Android we work in Kotlin for the native builds that need it — most projects don't, and we'll tell you when yours doesn't.

  • Flutter

We work with Flutter where a team or codebase already leans that way — the cross-platform decision matters more than the badge on it.

  • Apple Watch

Becon's safety app ships on iOS, Android and Apple Watch — wearables included when the product genuinely needs them.

  • Django & Python

Baandy's home-swap app runs on a Django and AWS backend we built — the same dependable stack behind most of our apps.

  • AWS, Google Cloud & Firebase

Our shipped apps run on AWS, Google Cloud and Firebase backends — infrastructure we still operate for clients month to month.

  • RevenueCat

Udokk's subscriptions run through Stripe Connect and RevenueCat — app-store billing wired in by people who've done it before.

  • And much more

This is what comes up most often, not a limit. Bring us something that isn't on this list and we'll get up to speed on it — working with something new is the job, not an obstacle.

What our clients are saying

Real reviews from clients we have delivered for, on Clutch and elsewhere.

  • The enthusiasm, understanding of our mission, and passion from the first few minutes of the call were the deciding factors in choosing CodeLeap. Within 3 months of our app launching, we had over 1,500 downloads, appeared in leading publications from Forbes, The Metro, Marie Claire, Women's Fitness and many more, and started raising further investment.
    Charlie CEO, Becon
  • They are incredibly diligent in the quality of work they produce, and go above and beyond when it comes to solving issues faced within the project, and to ensure we meet strict project deadlines. You never feel like you are one of many clients, and they ensure they are always there to help with any need you have, no matter how big or small.
Amelia Parmiter Marketing Manager, AWS - Marble
  • CodeLeap made me feel like my options were limitless in terms of what could be achieved, which was critical to me as we were creating something very unique. I'm glad I chose Codeleap over a large corporation as the personable approach resulted in a smooth and pleasant experience.
    James CEO, Bearable
  • Working with CodeLeap was a very good experience from both a professional and personal point of view. These people know what they are doing and are both efficient and clever and made a good partner. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend CodeLeap.
    John CEO, Neurometrics-Diab
  • CodeLeap adds so much value and goes above and beyond what I expected. CodeLeap's team is very flexible with all the different requests we've put in front of them. They've also been great with the whole business side of things, and being able to forecast for this industry is really helpful. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with their work — they've been incredibly helpful.
    Johanne CEO, Cherry
  • Their flexibility and focus on quality were outstanding.
    Mike Fenna CTO, Kite Insights
  • Marcelo has been wonderful throughout the process and we are very happy.
    Amrit Director, Energy Company
  • Absolutely FANTASTIC. This is very much what I had in mind. We're very pleased with your team, thank you all very much.

Any questions? We're here to answer

Everything you might want to know before starting a project with us.

  • It depends on scope, but our app builds start from £15,000 including design, development, backend, APIs and integrations. A design-and-validation sprint starts from £5,000 if you want the concept tested before committing to the build. Everything is scoped and agreed at a fixed price before work starts.

  • Around three months is typical, from design through development, testing and launch. Simpler apps can be quicker and bigger platforms take longer — you'll get a clear timeline upfront and updates at every stage.

  • Usually both — cross-platform frameworks let one codebase serve iOS and Android, which is cheaper to build and maintain. Where native genuinely earns its cost, we'll say so: our NicheCom surveyors' app is native iPad precisely because it drives laser-measuring hardware.

  • You do. Once the work is delivered and paid for, the app is yours — the code, the system, all of it. You're not renting it from us or tied to us to keep using it.

  • We don't disappear. Ongoing maintenance and support typically starts from £400 per month — updates, fixes and improvements as the app grows. You won't be handed something and left to fend for yourself.
