Logistics software where off-the-shelf falls short

Bespoke transport and logistics software development for hauliers, couriers and fleet operators — driver apps, route planning and the back-office automation between them.

Solutions we've built power teams at:

What we build for transport and logistics operators

The four requests that come up most when operators talk to us — built around your fleet, your contracts and the systems already running in the cab and the office.

  • Driver apps for the cab

Job lists, electronic proof of delivery with photos and signatures, and daily walkaround checks in one app — built to work offline in dead spots and sync when signal returns. Drivers stop juggling paper, and the office sees each job the moment it completes.

  • Route planning and job scheduling

Planning tools built around your real constraints — vehicle types, time windows, drivers' hours, standing contract work — not a generic optimiser's idea of them. Planners assign jobs to vehicles and the system flags what won't fit before anything leaves the yard.

  • POD-to-invoice automation

The gap between a delivery being done and being billed is where margin leaks. We automate the chain: a confirmed POD raises the invoice, pushes it to your accounts package and chases missing paperwork, so completed work stops waiting weeks to be billed.

  • Telematics and TMS integrations

Your trackers, TMS, warehouse system and accounts package each hold part of the picture. We connect them and put the result on one live dashboard — job status, vehicle positions, customer tracking links — so the office can answer "where's my delivery?" without radioing the driver.

The closest work we can show

Straight answer first: we haven't shipped a dedicated transport or logistics build we can write up yet. What we can show is the neighbouring engineering — a multi-year vehicle imaging platform built on a computer vision pipeline, Skamper's running app handling GPS routing and voice coaching across thousands of verified routes, and the sales-cycle automation that grew a UK energy supplier's lead generation capacity 5x in 3 months. Vehicles, routes and back-office automation — the parts a logistics build is made of.

  • Vehicle imaging platform

An end-to-end vehicle imaging platform for a company in automotive photography. CodeLeap built the capture apps and the computer-vision pipeline that removes backgrounds, builds 360-degree spins and checks every image automatically.

What our clients are saying

Real reviews from clients we have delivered for, on Clutch and elsewhere.

  • The enthusiasm, understanding of our mission, and passion from the first few minutes of the call were the deciding factors in choosing CodeLeap. Within 3 months of our app launching, we had over 1,500 downloads, appeared in leading publications from Forbes, The Metro, Marie Claire, Women's Fitness and many more, and started raising further investment.
    Charlie CEO, Becon
  • They are incredibly diligent in the quality of work they produce, and go above and beyond when it comes to solving issues faced within the project, and to ensure we meet strict project deadlines. You never feel like you are one of many clients, and they ensure they are always there to help with any need you have, no matter how big or small.
Amelia Parmiter Marketing Manager, AWS - Marble
  • CodeLeap made me feel like my options were limitless in terms of what could be achieved, which was critical to me as we were creating something very unique. I'm glad I chose Codeleap over a large corporation as the personable approach resulted in a smooth and pleasant experience.
    James CEO, Bearable
  • Working with CodeLeap was a very good experience from both a professional and personal point of view. These people know what they are doing and are both efficient and clever and made a good partner. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend CodeLeap.
    John CEO, Neurometrics-Diab
  • CodeLeap adds so much value and goes above and beyond what I expected. CodeLeap's team is very flexible with all the different requests we've put in front of them. They've also been great with the whole business side of things, and being able to forecast for this industry is really helpful. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with their work — they've been incredibly helpful.
    Johanne CEO, Cherry
  • Their flexibility and focus on quality were outstanding.
    Mike Fenna CTO, Kite Insights
  • Marcelo has been wonderful throughout the process and we are very happy.

Any questions? We're here to answer

Everything you might want to know before starting a project with us.

  • If your TMS genuinely fits how you run jobs, keep it — we'd tell you so. Bespoke pays off in the gaps around it: the planning spreadsheet that lives beside the TMS, the rekeying between systems, the subcontracted work it can't model. We build the missing piece and connect it to what you have, rather than replacing what already works. Projects start from £5,000, with a fixed price agreed before any work begins.

  • Yes, and most logistics builds should start there — your TMS and trackers already hold the job and vehicle data. Where a system has an API we integrate directly; where it doesn't, we find a dependable route in, such as scheduled exports. You're not buying another silo: the app reads and writes the systems you already run, and you own all the code we write.

  • Yes. We build check apps that walk drivers through the daily inspection your operator licence already commits you to — timestamped, photo-backed, with no questions skippable. Defects route straight to whoever books the repair, and every check is stored and searchable, so when DVSA asks for your maintenance records they're a filter and an export away rather than a cabinet of duplicate books.

  • The app keeps working. We build driver apps offline-first: jobs, PODs and check sheets are stored on the phone and sync automatically when signal returns, so a dead spot on a rural drop never costs you a signature. The office sees the last known state clearly flagged rather than a spinner, and nothing depends on a driver remembering to re-send anything.

  • Projects start from £5,000 — that end of the range suits a single focused automation, such as POD-to-invoice. A driver app or planning tool costs more; either way we scope the work and agree a fixed price before anything starts, paid in stages as we deliver. A typical build takes around three months from design to launch, and a smaller automation can be live sooner.

  • Not a dedicated haulage or courier build we can publish yet — we'd rather say that plainly than dress one up. What does transfer is the engineering underneath: mobile capture apps used in and around vehicles, GPS tracking built to keep working away from strong signal, and automation that moves work between the systems a client already runs. That is the groundwork a logistics build sits on — 50+ projects delivered since 2019, with a 4.9 rating on Clutch.
