We start with a free call to go through what you check today, whether that is physical product inspections or numbers on a business dashboard. You leave with our view of what an AI model could take on, and we will say plainly when automation is not the better answer.
Before anything is built and before you commit any money, you get a written breakdown of what the work will cost, what it should save in scrap, rework or faults reaching a customer, and how long it takes to pay for itself.
We agree the stages of the build with you before we start, and the first runs the new checks alongside your existing ones so you can compare the two before anything depends on it. You pay for each stage once it is finished and working.
We stay on hand after launch to retrain the system as your products, processes and tolerances change, fix anything that breaks and add new checks. All code and intellectual property belongs to you on payment, so continued support is not a condition of keeping it.

Python is where most of this is written, because the libraries for training models, reading images and working through measurement data all sit in one place.
PyTorch trains the models that learn what good and bad look like in your own work, rather than applying a general idea of either.
OpenCV handles everything around a visual check: steadying the lighting, lining up the frame and pulling the right moment out of a video feed.
YOLO models locate what they are looking for in an image fast enough to keep up with a moving line or a live camera feed.
Where the checking is on numbers rather than pictures, scikit-learn learns the normal pattern in your measurements and flags the readings that fall outside it.
Measurements taken continuously need somewhere to live, and TimescaleDB on PostgreSQL holds them in a form you can query back over months without it slowing down.
A check is only useful if somebody sees it, so Grafana shows current state and history, and raises an alert through email, Slack or Teams when a limit is crossed.
The models train on graphics hardware for a short time and then run continuously, so we host on AWS where you pay for each of those separately.

A single automated check built end to end and put into production usually starts at £5,000, and a programme covering several checks starts at around £10,000. What moves the figure is how many examples of a fault exist already, how the result has to be delivered and how many lines or sites are involved. A feasibility study costs from £2,000.
It catches different faults rather than simply more of them. A model never tires, so it holds the same standard on the last item of a shift as the first, and it notices slow drift in measurements that nobody would spot day to day. Rare faults it has never seen remain harder, which is why people stay in the process.
Usually not. Most of this work runs on cameras, sensors and systems already in place, reading what they produce rather than replacing them. New hardware only comes in where the existing view is too poor to judge from, and that is established during the feasibility study rather than after the build has started.
A single check usually takes eight to twelve weeks from agreed scope to live use, with a feasibility study beforehand running one to two weeks. A programme across several lines or teams runs in phases over several months. Gathering enough examples of the faults you care about is what most often stretches the timeline.
The system is retrained rather than rebuilt. A model learns what acceptable looks like from examples, so a new product, a changed tolerance or a different supplier means feeding it fresh examples and testing again. That work is planned in from the start, and the tools to do it are handed over with everything else.
