Dogs Trust

Dogs Trust wanted a more engaging way to reach people online. CodeLeap built the interactive quiz game — a self-contained browser package led by a friendly character — and delivered it to the charity's lead agency to deploy straight onto the Dogs Trust website.

What we did Built the interactive quiz game itself — a self-contained JavaScript package — and handed it to the charity's lead agency to deploy on the Dogs Trust website.

Dogs Trust — Web app case study A quiz worth playing.

Dogs Trust is one of the best-known dog-welfare charities in the UK and Ireland, and reaching people online means competing for scarce attention — a static page rarely holds anyone for long. Working alongside the charity's lead creative agency, CodeLeap built an interactive quiz game: a self-contained browser experience, led by a friendly on-screen character, that turns a few questions into a playful, personalised journey. We delivered it as a ready-to-deploy package for the agency to feature on the Dogs Trust site.

What we built

  • Self-contained package build

Built as a self-contained JavaScript package that runs in any browser with nothing to install, and handed over ready to deploy — dropped straight into the site by the charity's agency, or hosted separately and embedded. No dependency on their wider stack.

  • Character-led quiz experience

A friendly on-screen character guides people through the questions, with speech-bubble dialogue and motion that keep each step playful and on-brand. The personality holds attention from the first question through to the final result.

  • Tailored responses and result

Each answer draws a tailored response, and the quiz closes on a personalised result that ties the journey together. It feels like a conversation rather than a form, and gives people something worth remembering and sharing.

  • Built-in engagement tracking

Tracking is built into the quiz, so the charity can see how people move through it — where they start, drop off and finish. That gives them evidence to refine the experience rather than guessing at what resonates.

Why this matters to you:

For a charity, attention is everything. The quiz gives Dogs Trust a warm, playful way to draw people in and hold them to the end, while built-in tracking turns each session into insight. And because it ships as a self-contained package, their agency could put it live without touching the rest of the site.
