Big Trail Adventures
Big Trail Adventures plans personalised, self-guided walking, trail-running and fastpacking holidays on the world's best long-distance trails. CodeLeap is their development team, building and running the mobile app that puts every day of the journey — route, maps and stays — in the walker's pocket.
What we did CodeLeap is the product team building and maintaining Big Trail Adventures' walker-facing mobile app and its admin backend, from core navigation features through releases and app-store launch.
Self-guided trails, sorted. Big Trail Adventures organises self-guided long-distance walking, trail-running and fastpacking holidays across the UK and Europe, handling routes, accommodation and luggage transfer so travellers can focus on the trail. Delivering that day-by-day detail reliably in the field — where signal is scarce — needed a proper app behind it. CodeLeap acts as their product team, building and maintaining the mobile app and its admin backend across a steady release cadence, from navigation and itineraries to messaging and quality control.
What we built

Offline trail guide
Each day's route, full trail description, accommodation and points of interest travel with the walker on their phone and work offline in remote areas where mobile signal drops out along the trail.

GPS trail navigation
Door-to-door GPS tracks guide walkers through each stage, with a live position on the route, elevation profile and downloadable maps so they always know where they are and where the next night's stay is.

Personalised adventures
The app carries each traveller's own plan — daily distances, rest days, accommodation and luggage transfer — so classic walkers, fastpackers and trail runners each see the trip built for them, day by day.

Admin backend and messaging
An admin platform lets the company manage tours, trail days and accommodation, with a customer-messaging integration and quality-control checks so trip content stays accurate before it reaches walkers.
