We already have. WeSnag is the snagging platform we built for a large London construction company running major residential developments. Site staff log a snag straight from the unit, with photos; it routes automatically to the responsible contractor by trade, escalates if it isn't addressed in time, and managers track open, in-progress and resolved items on a live dashboard. Yours would be shaped around your own trades and sign-off process, not a template.
It has to, so we plan for it from day one. Basements, plant rooms and half-built floors rarely have usable signal, so tools meant for site use are designed offline-first: staff log defects, fill in checks and attach photos with no connection at all, and everything syncs once the device finds wi-fi or data again. It's a decision made at scoping, not a feature bolted on after the first complaint from site.
Usually, yes. Verifying subcontractors, applying the right deduction rate, issuing payment and deduction statements, and reconciling timesheets against applications are rule-based, repetitive jobs — exactly what automation is good at. We'd normally build a tool that sits alongside your accounts package rather than replacing it, and we check what your software and HMRC's services actually expose before quoting, so the integration is scoped honestly rather than promised and patched later.
If handover packs, diaries or RAMS sign-offs mean someone retyping from paper, or finding one photo means scrolling months of group chat, then yes. A capture tool that ties photos, forms and signatures to a site and plot removes that admin and leaves a searchable evidence trail for disputes and HSE questions. And if an existing field app genuinely covers what you do, we'll say so — buying it is cheaper than building it.
That's usually the point — a site tool that can't talk to your accounts or project software just creates another silo. Most modern platforms expose APIs, and we verify exactly what each one allows during scoping, before the price is fixed, rather than discovering the limits mid-build. Where a system has no usable API, exports and imports can often bridge the gap. Either way, you'll know what connects and how before work starts.
Projects start from £5,000. At that end you'd get one process digitised properly — a defect log, a timesheet tool, a single automation. A multi-contractor platform on the scale of a full snagging system costs more, and a typical build takes around three months. Every project is a fixed price agreed before work starts, and once it's delivered and paid for you own the code and IP outright — you're not renting your own site app back from us.
