Travel app development for tour operators, guide publishers and travel founders — booking flows, offline GPS guides and group-trip planning, across five delivered travel products.
Solutions we've built power teams at:
Most travel products have to do three jobs at once — sell the trip, guide the traveller on the ground, and run the operation behind both. Our travel builds cluster around them.
A failed checkout is a lost booking, so we build purchase and unlock flows around the store you already run — for guidebook publisher Cicerone, guides bought through Shopify unlock automatically in the reader's app account, alongside in-app purchases through the app stores.
Trails and city streets rarely come with reliable signal, so we build navigation that downloads maps and routes to the phone before departure. Cicerone's walking guides and Big Trail Adventures' day-by-day trail holidays both keep working with no signal at all.
Group trips scatter across booking emails, spreadsheets and chats. For One Place we built an app where uploading a booking confirmation fills the itinerary in automatically — AI reads the document and drops travel, stays and dates into the right place.
Behind every good travel product sits an admin system for tours, prices, content and bookings. We build those too — Go Quest Adventures runs its city treasure hunts from a CMS we built, and Big Trail Adventures manages tours and accommodation from theirs.
Three of our travel builds: Cicerone's walking-guide app with offline GPS routes and a Shopify-linked purchase hub, One Place's group-trip planner that reads booking documents with AI, and the city treasure hunts we run for Go Quest Adventures. Offline navigation and reliable checkout keep recurring — the two things a travel product can't afford to fumble.

The enthusiasm, understanding of our mission, and passion from the first few minutes of the call were the deciding factors in choosing CodeLeap. Within 3 months of our app launching, we had over 1,500 downloads, appeared in leading publications from Forbes, The Metro, Marie Claire, Women's Fitness and many more, and started raising further investment.
They are incredibly diligent in the quality of work they produce, and go above and beyond when it comes to solving issues faced within the project, and to ensure we meet strict project deadlines. You never feel like you are one of many clients, and they ensure they are always there to help with any need you have, no matter how big or small.
CodeLeap made me feel like my options were limitless in terms of what could be achieved, which was critical to me as we were creating something very unique. I'm glad I chose Codeleap over a large corporation as the personable approach resulted in a smooth and pleasant experience.
Working with CodeLeap was a very good experience from both a professional and personal point of view. These people know what they are doing and are both efficient and clever and made a good partner. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend CodeLeap.
CodeLeap adds so much value and goes above and beyond what I expected. CodeLeap's team is very flexible with all the different requests we've put in front of them. They've also been great with the whole business side of things, and being able to forecast for this industry is really helpful. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with their work — they've been incredibly helpful.
Their flexibility and focus on quality were outstanding.
Marcelo has been wonderful throughout the process and we are very happy.
Absolutely FANTASTIC. This is very much what I had in mind. We're very pleased with your team, thank you all very much.

Yes — it's the requirement that keeps recurring in our travel work. Maps, routes and trip content download to the phone before departure, and GPS keeps working with no signal at all. Cicerone's walking guides and Big Trail Adventures' trail holidays navigate the remotest stages offline, and Go Quest Adventures' city quests even sync a team's progress once a connection returns. A guide that dies at the trailhead is worse than no guide at all.
Yes — five delivered travel products, spanning guidebook publishing, self-guided trail holidays, city treasure hunts, group-trip planning and home swaps. Every one of those clients has kept us on afterwards for maintenance or ongoing product work, which is usually a fair sign the first build went well. We're a London consultancy, trading since 2019, with 50+ projects delivered overall and a 4.9 rating on Clutch.
From £5,000 for something focused, with most full booking or guide apps landing higher depending on scope — payment flows, offline maps and admin tools each add work. We scope the project first and agree a fixed price before anything starts, so the number you sign off is the number you pay. A typical build takes around three months from design to launch.
That's usually the right way round — we build against what you already sell through rather than replacing it. For Cicerone we connected the app to their Shopify store, so a guide bought on the website unlocks in the app automatically, alongside in-app purchases through the app stores. Tell us what you run — an e-commerce platform, a payment provider, a booking tool — and we'll design the integration around it.
Yes, and it should. A typical project takes around three months, so we count back from your season: build through the quiet months and launch with time to spare before peak bookings, rather than shipping something new the week your busiest fortnight starts. Scope and timeline are agreed before work begins, so you know exactly what lands and when.
No — one cross-platform codebase can ship to both app stores at once, which is how we built Cicerone's guide app. Two separate native apps mean paying for every future update twice; one shared build keeps features and releases in step across iPhone and Android, and keeps maintenance after launch affordable. If a genuinely native build ever fits your product better, we'll say so before you commit.
A small, experienced team of designers, engineers and problem-solvers working closely with you from first idea to final delivery.
